Pour the fruit juice into a small saucepan and warm it over medium heat until it’s hot but not boiling.
Add Gelatin:
Sprinkle the gelatin powder over the hot juice and whisk to combine. Let it sit for a minute to allow the gelatin to bloom.
Sweeten the Mixture:
Stir in the honey or maple syrup to sweeten your gummy bears to taste. If you want a tangy twist, add a tablespoon of lemon juice.
Heat and Stir:
Place the saucepan back on low heat and stir continuously until the gelatin has completely dissolved, and the mixture is smooth.
Add Coloring (Optional):
If you want colorful gummy bears, add a few drops of food coloring and mix well.
Pour into Molds:
Carefully pour the mixture into gummy bear molds. You can use silicone molds for easy release or any small candy molds you have on hand.
Chill and Set:
Place the molds in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to let the gummies set. If you’re in a hurry, you can also put them in the freezer for about 15 minutes.
Remove and Serve:
Once the gummy bears are set, pop them out of the molds and enjoy! Store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
