Cut the feta cheese block into 1/2-inch thick slices or small squares, depending on your preference.
Coat the Feta:
In one bowl, place the all-purpose flour.
In another bowl, beat the egg.
In a third bowl, spread out the sesame seeds.
Dip each slice of feta first into the flour, making sure it’s coated lightly.
Then dip it into the beaten egg, coating it well.
Finally, press the feta into the sesame seeds, ensuring both sides are fully covered with the seeds.
Fry the Feta:
Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
Once the oil is hot, carefully add the coated feta slices to the pan.
Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the sesame seeds are golden brown and crispy.
Serve:
Remove the fried feta from the pan and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
Optionally, drizzle the warm feta with honey and garnish with fresh herbs.
