2. Prepare the Batter
In a large bowl, mix together self-rising flour, sugar, and milk until smooth.

Melt the butter and pour it into the bottom of your Lodge #7 skillet.
4. Pour the Batter
Pour the batter mixture over the melted butter in the skillet. Do not stir it together.
5. Add the Peaches
Drain the peaches and then lay them on top of the batter. The peaches will sink slightly as the cobbler bakes, creating that delicious layering effect.
6. Bake the Cobbler
Bake the cobbler in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
