Donuts at the Spoon: A Sweet Delight in Every Bite

Prepare the Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon (if using).

Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.

Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until the dough comes together. The dough should be thick but not too sticky.

Shape the Donuts: Lightly flour your work surface and turn the dough out onto it. Roll out the dough to about 1/2-inch thickness and use a donut cutter or two round cookie cutters (one large and one small) to cut out donut shapes.

Heat the Oil: Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot over medium-high heat to about 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Donuts: Carefully lower the donut shapes into the hot oil, frying them in batches. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.

Drain and Cool: Remove the donuts from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Let them cool slightly.

Top Your Donuts: Once the donuts have cooled slightly, top them with powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, or your favorite glaze. For a fun touch, add sprinkles or a chocolate glaze!

Serve: Serve fresh and enjoy these fluffy, homemade donuts.
