Fill a basin with warm water (enough to cover your feet) and add 1 cup of vinegar. You can use either white vinegar or apple cider vinegar, both of which have antifungal properties.
Add 2-3 tablespoons of baking soda to the water. Baking soda helps to neutralize odors and can further support the antifungal process.
Tea Tree Oil Treatment:
After soaking your feet for 15-20 minutes, pat them dry with a clean towel.
Apply a few drops of tea tree oil directly to the affected toenails. Tea tree oil is well-known for its antifungal and antiseptic properties and has been used for centuries to treat various skin conditions, including fungal infections.
Hydrogen Peroxide Solution:
Another helpful step in your treatment regimen is using hydrogen peroxide to help kill the fungus.
Pour hydrogen peroxide into a small container and dip a cotton ball or pad into it. Gently rub the cotton ball over the toenail infection, ensuring full coverage of the affected area.
Allow it to dry for a few minutes.
Repeat the Treatment:
Repeat this foot soak and treatment process twice a day: once in the morning and once before bed. Consistency is key when it comes to treating toenail fungus.
With continuous use, the fungus will begin to die off, and your nails will start to regain their normal appearance over time.
