Delightful Classic Strawberry Cake: A Sweet Summertime Treat

Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a round or square cake pan.

Cream the butter and sugar: In a mixing bowl, beat together softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy and light.

Add the eggs: Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.

Mix the dry ingredients: In another bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and baking powder.

Combine wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the whole milk, and mix until smooth.

Add the strawberries: Gently fold in the mashed strawberries to the batter, ensuring even distribution.

Bake the cake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool and frost: Allow the cake to cool completely. Meanwhile, make the frosting by mixing softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth. Frost the cooled cake and decorate with strawberry jam and fresh strawberries.
