Crispy Potato Pockets


Prepare the Potato Filling:

Boil the potatoes until soft, then peel and mash them.

In a bowl, mix the mashed potatoes with shredded cheese, green onions (if using), garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Make sure the cheese is well incorporated.

Form the Pockets: 3. With your hands, scoop a portion of the mashed potato mixture and shape it into small oval or round patties. 4. Roll the formed patties lightly in flour to prevent sticking.

Coat the Potato Pockets: 5. Dip each patty into the breadcrumbs to coat evenly. Press gently to ensure the breadcrumbs stick.

Fry the Pockets: 6. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. 7. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the potato pockets to the pan. Fry for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden and crispy.

Serve: 8. Remove the crispy potato pockets from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil. 9. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce (such as sour cream, ketchup, or ranch dressing).
