In a shallow bowl, combine flour, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
In another bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
Dip each piece of chicken first in the flour mixture, then the egg, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the chicken pieces for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Bourbon Sauce:
In a small saucepan, combine bourbon, soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, garlic powder, and grated ginger. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
Let it cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens. If you’d like it thicker, dissolve cornstarch in water to make a slurry and stir it into the sauce. Let it simmer for an additional 2 minutes.
Cook the Broccoli:
Steam or sauté the broccoli until tender. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Combine the Dish:
Drizzle the bourbon sauce over the crispy chicken pieces, ensuring they are coated evenly. Serve alongside the steamed or sautéed broccoli.
