Crispy Air Fryer Apple Fries

Prepare the Apples: Wash and peel the apples. Cut them into thin fries or wedges, removing the cores.

Set Up Dipping Station: In one bowl, add the flour. In another bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, mix together the panko breadcrumbs, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and optional nutmeg.

Coat the Apple Fries: Dip each apple slice into the flour, then into the beaten eggs, and finally into the panko breadcrumb mixture, pressing slightly to ensure an even coating.

Air Fry: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the coated apple fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they’re not overlapping. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.

Make the Cinnamon Sugar Coating: While the apple fries are cooking, mix the cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl.

Serve: Once the apple fries are done, remove them from the air fryer and immediately toss them in the cinnamon sugar mixture for extra sweetness.

Optional Dip: Serve the apple fries with caramel sauce or vanilla yogurt for dipping.
