Creamy Seafood Pasta Delight: A Rich and Flavorful Seafood Feast

Boil the pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water for later, and set the pasta aside.
Step 2: Cook the seafood
Prepare the seafood: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the shrimp, scallops, and mussels with salt and pepper.
Cook the seafood: Add the shrimp and scallops to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until opaque and cooked through. If using mussels, add them to the pan and cover with a lid for 4-5 minutes until they open. Discard any mussels that remain closed. Remove all seafood from the skillet and set aside.
Step 3: Make the creamy sauce
Prepare the sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute, or until fragrant.
Deglaze the pan: Add the white wine to the skillet to deglaze, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, reducing slightly.
Add the cream and broth: Stir in the heavy cream and broth, bringing it to a simmer. Let it cook for 4-5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Finish the sauce: Stir in the grated Parmesan, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes (if using). Season with salt and pepper to taste. If the sauce gets too thick, add a little of the reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
Step 4: Combine the pasta and seafood
Mix the pasta: Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat it in the creamy sauce. Gently fold in the cooked seafood, being careful not to break up the delicate scallops and shrimp.
Step 5: Serve
Plate and serve: Serve the creamy seafood pasta immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan, fresh parsley, or a squeeze of lemon for added freshness.
