Add the chicken breast pieces and cook until browned and fully cooked through, about 7-10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Add the mushrooms to the pan and cook for an additional 5 minutes until the mushrooms are softened and their moisture has evaporated.
Stir in the cream cheese, allowing it to melt and coat the chicken and mushrooms. Let the mixture simmer for another 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat and set aside to cool.
