Creamy Avocado Grilled Cheese: A Delicious Twist on a Classic

Step 1: Prepare the Avocado Spread
In a small bowl, mash the avocado with lemon juice and garlic powder (if using). Set aside.
Step 2: Assemble the Sandwich
Spread butter (or mayonnaise) on one side of each slice of bread.
Place one slice, buttered side down, on a skillet or pan over medium heat.
Layer the cheese evenly on top.
Spread the mashed avocado over the cheese.
Add tomato slices and bacon, if using.
Place the second slice of bread on top, buttered side up.
Step 3: Cook the Grilled Cheese
Cook over medium heat for 3-4 minutes, until the bottom is golden brown.
Flip carefully and cook for another 3-4 minutes, pressing lightly with a spatula, until the cheese melts and the bread is crispy.
Step 4: Serve
Remove from the pan and let it cool for a minute before slicing in half.
Serve warm and enjoy!
