Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan or line it with parchment paper.

Add the oil, milk, and vanilla essence, then mix until well combined.
Prepare the Dry Ingredients:
In another bowl, sift together the cake flour, baking powder, and salt.
Combine Wet and Dry:
Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring gently until no lumps remain.
Bake the Cake:
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool & Serve:
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
