Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with a bit of olive oil or cooking spray.
Cook the Ziti Pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the ziti pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set aside.
Mix the Cheeses:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese. Add the dried oregano, basil, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir everything together until well mixed.
Assemble the Baked Ziti:
In the prepared baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom. Add half of the cooked ziti, followed by half of the cheese mixture. Repeat with the remaining pasta, marinara sauce, and cheese mixture.
Top with More Cheese:
Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese evenly over the top of the pasta for that perfect cheesy, golden finish.
Bake the Ziti:
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the top is golden brown.
Serve:
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh chopped basil or parsley for a burst of color and flavor. Serve alongside a simple salad or garlic bread for a complete meal.
