Chocolate Protein Cake – A Decadent and Guilt-Free Treat

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9-inch round cake pan or line it with parchment paper.
Mix the Dry Ingredients:

In a large bowl, whisk together the chocolate protein powder, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and almond flour until well combined.
Add the Wet Ingredients:

In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, applesauce (or Greek yogurt), almond milk, honey or maple syrup (if using), and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and fully combined.
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. If you’d like to add dark chocolate chips, fold them into the batter at this stage.
Bake the Cake:

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Keep an eye on it to avoid overbaking, as protein powder can make the cake dry.
Cool and Serve:

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, slice and serve.
