Chocolate Malva Pudding – A Rich and Decadent Twist on a Classic Dessert

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch square baking dish.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla extract, milk, melted butter, and vinegar, and mix until well combined.
Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, mixing until smooth.
Bake the Pudding:

Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. While the pudding is baking, prepare the syrup.
Make the Syrup:

In a small saucepan, combine the heavy cream, butter, sugar, and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the butter has melted and the sugar has dissolved. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes, then remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Soak the Pudding with Syrup:

Once the pudding is out of the oven, immediately pour the warm syrup over the hot pudding. Let the syrup soak in as the pudding cools slightly, absorbing the rich, creamy syrup to create a moist, indulgent texture.
Serve and Enjoy:

Serve the pudding warm, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. Enjoy the gooey, chocolatey goodness in every bite!
