Chocolate Banana Oat Bread: A Healthy and Decadent Treat

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
Mix the Dry Ingredients:

In a medium bowl, whisk together the rolled oats, flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon (if using). Set aside.
Mash the Bananas:

In a separate large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Add the eggs, melted coconut oil (or butter), milk, vanilla extract, and honey or maple syrup (if using). Mix well until fully combined.
Combine the Wet and Dry Ingredients:

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can result in a dense loaf.
Add the Chocolate Chips:

Fold in the mini chocolate chips or chunks (if using), making sure they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
Bake the Bread:

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it out evenly. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean. The top should be slightly cracked and firm to the touch.
Cool and Serve:

Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
