Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Add the linguine pasta and cook according to package instructions, usually around 8-10 minutes, until al dente.
Drain the pasta, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta cooking water, and set aside.
Step 2: Cook the Ground Beef
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir well and remove from heat.
Step 3: Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
Pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly to combine. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
Step 4: Combine the Pasta and Sauce
Add the drained linguine pasta to the skillet with the garlic butter sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly in the creamy sauce.
If the sauce is too thick, add a little of the reserved pasta water to achieve your desired consistency.
Step 5: Add the Cheese and Ground Beef
Stir in the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese, allowing the cheese to melt and create a creamy, cheesy sauce.
Add the cooked ground beef into the pasta and toss everything together.
Step 6: Serve and Garnish
Divide the cheesy garlic butter linguine pasta into serving plates.
Garnish with fresh chopped parsley for a burst of color and freshness.
