Cheesy Baked Meatballs in Onion Gravy

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Make the meatballs: In a large bowl, combine ground beef (or turkey), egg, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter.
Cook the meatballs: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook for 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides. Transfer them to a plate and set aside.
Prepare the onion gravy: In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes until softened. Add beef broth, bring to a simmer, and cook for another 5 minutes.
Assemble the dish: Place the cooked meatballs back into the skillet with the onion gravy. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of each meatball.
Bake: Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot. Enjoy your cheesy, flavorful meatballs with a side of crusty bread or mashed potatoes!
