Cheese Pasta Bake Recipe: A Creamy, Cheesy Comfort Classic

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Cheese Sauce:

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, whisk in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to create a roux.
Gradually add the milk, whisking constantly to prevent lumps. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens (about 5 minutes).
Once thickened, remove the sauce from the heat and stir in the grated cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes smooth. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and basil.
Combine Pasta and Cheese Sauce:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta with the cheese sauce. If you’re adding any optional ingredients like chicken, vegetables, or bacon, stir them in at this point.
Bake the Pasta:

Transfer the pasta and cheese mixture into a greased baking dish. Sprinkle the breadcrumbs evenly over the top for a crunchy, golden crust.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
Serve and Enjoy:

Once the pasta bake is done, remove it from the oven and let it sit for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs like parsley or basil for an added touch of freshness.
