Caramel Chocolate Crunch Bars: A Decadent Treat for Every Sweet Tooth

In a large mixing bowl, combine the rice cereal and a pinch of salt. Set aside.
Make the Caramel Mixture:

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the caramel bits and heavy cream, stirring constantly until the caramel is fully melted and smooth. This should take about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract for extra flavor.
Mix the Caramel and Crunch:

Pour the caramel mixture over the rice cereal and stir gently until the cereal is evenly coated with the caramel sauce. Be careful not to crush the cereal. Spread the mixture into a greased 9×9-inch baking pan or line the pan with parchment paper for easy removal later.
Add the Chocolate Layer:

In the same saucepan, melt the chocolate chips with a small amount of butter (about 1 tablespoon) over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Alternatively, you can melt the chocolate in the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring after each.
Assemble the Bars:

Pour the melted chocolate over the caramel-coated cereal, spreading it evenly with a spatula. Allow the chocolate to cover the entire surface of the bars.
Chill and Set:

Place the pan in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until the chocolate has fully set and the bars are firm.
Cut and Serve:

Once the bars are set, remove from the refrigerator and cut into squares or rectangles. Serve and enjoy!
