Cajun Shrimp and Steak: A Flavor-Packed Surf and Turf Delight

Season both the steak and shrimp with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Drizzle the steaks with a little olive oil to help them sear. Let the steak and shrimp sit for a few minutes to allow the seasoning to soak in.
2. Cook the Steak:

Heat a cast-iron skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
For medium-rare, cook the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side, depending on thickness. Adjust the time for your preferred doneness (for medium, cook for 6-7 minutes per side).
Let the steak rest for 5 minutes after cooking to allow the juices to redistribute.
3. Cook the Shrimp:

While the steak is resting, add the remaining olive oil and butter to the same skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the seasoned shrimp to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until they are opaque and slightly charred.
Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the shrimp just before removing them from the pan.
4. Serve the Cajun Shrimp and Steak:

Slice the steak against the grain into strips and arrange it on a plate.
Add the Cajun shrimp alongside the steak and garnish with fresh parsley.
Serve with lemon wedges for an extra burst of citrus.
