Beef-Stuffed Shells with Creamy Ricotta Filling

Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set them aside to cool slightly.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Step 2: Prepare the Beef Filling
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spatula.
Drain any excess fat and return the beef to the skillet. Add salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Stir well to combine, and remove from heat.
Step 3: Make the Ricotta Mixture
In a separate bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and egg. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir until everything is well-combined.
Step 4: Stuff the Pasta Shells
Gently stuff each cooked pasta shell with a generous amount of the beef mixture and place the stuffed shells into a greased baking dish.
Pour marinara sauce over the stuffed shells, covering them evenly.
Step 5: Bake the Dish
Top the shells with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Step 6: Serve
Let the stuffed shells cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with additional Parmesan cheese or fresh basil if desired.
