Baked Oat and Fruit Energy Balls: A Healthy, Energizing Snack

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare the Mixture:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, dried fruit, ground flaxseed, shredded coconut (if using), cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Stir well to combine.
Add the applesauce, honey (or maple syrup), and almond or peanut butter. Mix everything together until the ingredients are well incorporated and the mixture sticks together.
Form the Energy Balls:

Using your hands or a small cookie scoop, form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake:

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the energy balls are golden brown and firm to the touch.
Cool and Serve:

Remove from the oven and let the energy balls cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Store:

Once cooled, store the energy balls in an airtight container. They can be kept at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerated for up to a week.
