Why do spider plant tips turn brown? Details in the first comment

Spider plant tips turning brown can be caused by several factors. Here are some common reasons:

1. Overwatering or Underwatering
Overwatering: Spider plants are sensitive to sitting in water for too long, which can cause root rot. When the roots start to rot, the plant becomes stressed, and the tips of the leaves can turn brown.

Underwatering: On the other hand, if a spider plant doesn’t get enough water, the leaf tips can dry out and become brown. The plant needs to be watered when the top inch or so of soil feels dry to the touch.

2. Fluoride Sensitivity
Spider plants are sensitive to fluoride, which is commonly found in tap water. Over time, fluoride can build up in the plant’s system, causing the leaf tips to turn brown or yellow. If you suspect this, try using distilled or non-fluoridated water to see if the condition improves.

3. Low Humidity
Spider plants prefer higher humidity. If the air is too dry, especially during the winter months when heating systems can dry out the air, the tips of the leaves can begin to brown.

4. Nutrient Imbalance
