While blooms aren’t guaranteed, here’s how to encourage them:
1. Restrict Root Space
Sansevieria tends to bloom when it becomes slightly root-bound. Avoid repotting it too often; letting it fill its pot can stimulate flowering.
2. Give It Plenty of Indirect Sunlight
While it survives low light, blooming requires brighter conditions. Place it near a window where it receives filtered sunlight.
3. Keep Watering Sparse
Let the soil dry completely between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot and will prevent the plant from blooming.
4. Mimic Its Native Habitat
It’s a desert plant — warm temperatures, dry conditions, and bright light mimic its natural environment and trigger bloom responses.
5. Be Patient
